Police Captain Serdar Yildiz, Lieutenants Ali Unlu and Bahadir Sahin were awarded with a citation by the Orlando Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary for their hospitality during the Second Istanbul Conference on Democracy and Global Security and their success in this organization.

During the conference, Sheriff Beary declared to the Turkish Press his appreciation of the success and excellence of the conference organization. On his visit to Istanbul Police Department, he mostly commended the works of narcotic department. He was also briefed and presented about the MOBESE (Mobile Electronic System Integration) project, on which he expressed his appreciations. He further stated that police departments in the USA need to adapt similar systems immediately.

Turkish Police Officials, in response to Mr. Beary, thanked for the citation and added that they were accepting this honor on behalf of all the members of Turkish Institute for Police Studies (TIPS) and Turkish National Police.
